How to read a Vietnamese price board
The colored ticker board at the heart of every trading screen, and what each color is telling you.
The price board (bang gia) is the live grid every Vietnamese investor watches. Each row is a stock, and the colors carry the meaning, so learning them makes the whole screen readable at a glance.
Reading the colors
Yellow is the reference price. Green means the price is up from reference, red means down. Purple marks a stock trading at its ceiling, and cyan marks one at its floor.
Beyond price
A row also shows volume, best bid and ask, and foreign buying and selling. Together they show not just the price but the pressure behind it.
Why it matters
Once the colors click, you can scan hundreds of stocks in seconds and spot which are strong, weak, or locked at a limit.
